Structured, Enrichment Daycare for Modern Furkids

Each staff member of Furkids Inc. goes through rigorous canine behavior and communication training. Many have specialized certifications in it or are working towards it. We are also a certified Fear Free center, requiring EACH and EVERY staff member to be certified by the Fear Free foundation. Being a pro in canine communication allows us to PREVENT grumpiness before it happens. Our small group, structured model affords constant supervision, re-direction, and rest times, which are vital to a pup's happiness.

Our facility is intentionally indoor/ outdoors. Florida is far too hot for extensive outdoor play for several months out of the year, regardless if there is a pool or other water element. Our indoors are protected by rigorous restaurant-grade cleaning protocols (to be expected from our James Beard restaurateur founder), UV air scrubbers that are placed inside our HVAC system; a first-line offense to many airborne viruses and we are Infectious Disease Management Certified by the Heroes For Healthy Pets committee.

Each and every staff member is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid training. We also hold safety response drills monthly, just like little kids' schools do for effortless emergency response.

All furkids must be fully vaccinated with current rabies, distemper, parvo, canine influenza-bivalent, and bordetella. Bordetella should be boosted every 6 months. To ensure this, we use top-of-the-line software to help busy pet parents keep track of necessary vaccinations. We also highly encourage lepto vaccination.

Unfortunately, under no circumstances do we permit any furkid who is not up-to-date on all required vaccinations.

Upon arrival, your furkid will have time to greet & play with their buddies (you gotta get up on pee-mails!), then we move into basic manners reminders, then into a planned physical or mental enrichment activity, then into rest time, and then we repeat! This model can repeat a few times a day, based on the group’s energy level!

We only allow a maximum of 12 dogs per group. Some groups who are a little more spirited, may even be less.

Yes, but that is because we CREATED it. Unfortunately, The state of Florida, Hillsborough County, and the city of Tampa have ZERO inspectors for the daycare or boarding industry, and we simply feel this is unacceptable. So, we have developed a program for surprise veterinary inspections of our facilities, very much like a health inspector for human doctors, veterinarians, restaurants, and hotels. We want to BE THE CHANGE. So we created this to hold ourselves accountable. Our third-party vet inspectors arrive unannounced, and unplanned, and perform thorough health inspections of our indoor and outdoor spaces to ensure we are truly offering the safest spaces we can for you and your furkid. These scores will always be posted by our front door, just like in any other industry.

Each group is assigned based on size, temperament, and play style so that the group can SAFELY and cohesively learn and have fun in a way that matters to THEM. Your furkid will be required to have an assessment session where we will determine the best group fit for them!

Abso-freaking-lutely. We have nothing to hide. We also understand that this is likely not about trust but rather the immense adorableness of watching your furkid live their best life. We use iDogCam to ensure it is a secure, constant feed for our pet parents who wish to watch. Just select this option under Add Ons to your reservation if it is not included in your membership.

Yes! We are happy to send additional updates and pictures to pet parents who request this add-on service. We will also post lots of social media updates, complimentary.

No. Most dogs don’t! But they do need to perform an assessment so that we can ensure we humans and our other furkids are the best fit for them in our group environment, that they are placed in similar learning/play style groups, and that they feel comfortable in our environment. Daycare is not for every dog, and that is okay! Some truly thrive at home!

Absolutely! We can talk at length about how we approach medication administration in your Meet & Greet. As certified Fear Free professionals, we have special training in how to administer stress-LESS medication.

We can! We are not a full grooming service (yet), but we do offer towel-dry baths, brush-outs, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, and the list goes on! You can see our full list of add-ons and add any of these services to your daycare or boarding reservation in the company booking system.

Fear Free is an organization founded and run by veterinarians committed to taking the pet OUT of petrified. Furkids Inc. staff are certified by Fear Free in training to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in dogs we take it very seriously. Everything we do is for the good of your furkid. Everything

Yes, we do request our pet parents pre-book services so that we may ensure the curriculum is planned and organized properly. For daycare, we request at least 24 hours, and for Boarding, we request 48 hours. All of these tasks can be performed seamlessly through our company software at anytime, day or night.

Yes! We hold special Enrichment Daycare and nighttime activities for our overnight guests. We really make a big deal out of the day for the furkids! They deserve holidays too!

We are 100% dedicated to you and your furkid when you book a service with Furkids Inc. Because of this, we turn away other bookings during your scheduled times. So, if you need to cancel, we ask you notify Furkids Inc. LLC as soon as possible of the need to cancel services in order to be eligible for a refund.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in advance via the Furkids Inc. booking system or portal, before the first scheduled visit according to the schedule below. Cancellations or modifications submitted after the service has begun will not be eligible for a refund, through the duration of the booking.

We do not waive cancellation fees for illness (including COVID-19), travel interruptions, trip changes or cancellations, or weather as we will still perform these services whenever possible.

We understand life can happen. Our Membership clients may cancel once per month with a full refund and no change to their Membership pricing. Any additional cancellations will revert to our standard cancellation policy.

Daycare Non-Holidays and Holidays

23 hours or less: no refund
24 hours or more: full refund

OVERNIGHT STAY CANCELLATION POLICY

Non Holidays

Boarding is 100% refundable if canceled 168 hours or more in advance.

Boarding is 50% refundable if canceled 167 to 96 hours in advance.

Boarding is non-refundable if cancelled 95 hours or less in advance.

More than 1 Month notice: full refund
29-15 days notice: 75% refund
14-10 days notice: 50% refund
Less than 10 days notice: no refund

Excessive Cancellations
Furkids Inc. LLC reserves the right to cancel any recurring service schedule in the event of excessive cancellations and require the client to book “as needed” instead. Excessive cancellation is defined as cancellations equal to or greater than 15% of the scheduled services in a 30-day period, no matter how much advance notice is given.

What If Furkids Inc. Cancels
This would be a very rare occurrence as each client has a primary care giver and a secondary care giver, but we are in Florida and hurricanes are increasing and we all just got through a pandemic. Should Furkids Inc. cancel a session, full refunds will be provided no matter how short the notice.
